How to Add Bullet Points to Blog Posts in Webflow
In this video, we’re covering how to add bullet points to a blog post using the Rich Text element in Webflow. Bullet points can be added to static pages or CMS-based blog posts, but when it comes to blog content specifically, everything should be formatted within a Rich Text field.
There are two primary ways this is done. For static content—like terms of service pages—you can manually add a bulleted list by clicking into a Rich Text block, hitting return after a list item, and continuing to type, much like in Google Docs or Microsoft Word. This method works well for static pages that aren’t driven by the CMS.
For dynamic blog content, it starts with ensuring your collection has a Rich Text field. Once you’ve added and saved that field, you can edit entries by using the Webflow CMS editor. From there, adding bullet points is as simple as clicking the small "+" icon that appears inside the Rich Text field. You can insert headings, paragraphs, bulleted or numbered lists, and more—just like editing in a document editor.
After saving your content, head into the Designer, drop a Rich Text element onto your blog template page, and bind it to your Rich Text field. You’ll now see your formatted content—headings, paragraphs, and bullet points—render properly on the live site.
This workflow keeps your blog content clean, editable, and consistent while making full use of Webflow’s CMS and formatting capabilities.
