DuctQuote keeps improving based on how dealers actually use it in the field — not on a marketing wishlist. This month's update tightens up bill-of-materials accuracy, smooths out several rough edges in the 3D modeling experience, and speeds up project management. Here's what changed.
Bill of Materials Accuracy
A BOM you can't trust is a BOM you have to double-check by hand, and that costs time on every quote. Two fixes close that gap this month:
• Flanged pipe BOM counts were corrected so every physical flanged piece is now counted.
• Four 3-inch US Tubing 45-degree elbows were corrected.
Smoother 3D Modeling
Most of this month's work went into cleaning up the modeling experience itself — the small friction points that slow a dealer down mid-build.
• 3D models now load more reliably and keep their saved height.
• Locked models stay locked after saving and reopening. Copied models can be locked independently.
• Clicking a model while it's still loading now places it exactly where you clicked.
• Canceling or deleting a loading model no longer leaves a ghost model or an invisible selection box behind.
• “Place on Floor” keeps the model selected with its movement handles visible, so you can keep adjusting without reselecting.
Faster, Safer Project Management
Two changes that make day-to-day project handling more reliable:
• Project searching was made safer, including searches containing apostrophes.
• Layout order numbers now load more efficiently.
