Todd Smith is a material handling and business expert who recently retired from Kansas State University, where he led the Bulk Solids Technology Center—the only university-based facility and staff in North America dedicated to helping industry address powder and bulk solids challenges.
Previously, he spent nearly 40 years in the bulk solids industry, including work at four DuPont plants and roles as project engineer, general manager, and global systems leader for a multinational bulk solids handling company.
Smith holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA. He has authored a book, numerous magazine articles and technical papers, and serves as a board member and advisor for trade journals, universities, and industry organizations.
